Ah, November. The final month of the season usually means rivalry games, higher stakes, and chaos. This weekend was no different, only we saw it on and off the field.

Here’s are some of the crazy things you may have missed that happened this weekend in college football.

Mississippi State recruit gets caught decommitting in stands

Decommitments are nothing new in college football recruiting. There’s almost a blueprint to it at this point. Hop in the notes app, write something long-winded, thank the team you’re decommitting  from for the opportunity, and then finish it with something along the lines of “please respect my decision.”

That’s how it usually happens. That was not the case with Iverson McCoy.

McCoy is a three-star cornerback recruit in the 2026 class who has been committed to Mississippi State since late June. On Saturday, he wrote a decommitment statement as he holds two other offers from Kentucky and Ole Miss.

The biggest difference between his decommitment and others? A fan watched him type it out from the stands, posted it on social media and it went viral almost immediately.

Vanderbilt player trolls Auburn coach who texted him on Christmas

Vanderbilt just keeps winning this season, and each week they give us something new to cheer for. This week it was Vanderbilt linebacker Bryan Longwell trolling the Auburn coaching staff with a text he received from them nearly two years ago saying they would no longer be recruiting him nor did they have a spot for him in their class.

He received the news from the Auburn coaching staff at 6:00 AM on Christmas. Longwell clearly got the last laugh as the Commodores won 17-7 in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Florida State fan goes viral for being the worst

Mike Norvell and FSU lost yet again on Saturday, watching their season record fall to 1-8. They became the only team in the country who hasn’t scored more than 20 points in a game this season, and Florida State fans seemed to have completely snapped. One fan inside Doak Campbell Stadium reached his breaking point.

Regardless if you think it’s right, wrong, or something in between for a fan to yell at 18-22 year-old players like this, I think we can all agree on one thing – the players could’ve heard him just as well from his seat and not on the railing since there were roughly 12 people in the stands. Calm down dude.
